The goal of this project is to positively change the skill sets and attitudes of professional agronomists, farmers and agricultural students to accelerate the adoption of agricultural systems that build soil health and reduce nutrient losses.
The Conservation Learning Group (CLG), a think tank based at Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach and dedicated to addressing conservation and environmental challenges, has been recognized by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) with a 2021 Educational Aids Blue Ribbon for CLG’s Whole Farm Conservation Best Practices Manual.
Iowa Learning Farms is leading the Conservation Learning Labs project that will study how implementation of conservation practices can reduce nitrogen and phosphorus loss at the watershed scale in Iowa.
